Wealth Advisor - San Antonio Office
A Lake Charles, Louisiana, native, Aïssatou Sidimé-Blanton joined Global Wealth Advisors in 2023 as a wealth advisor in their San Antonio office. Previously, she served as a financial consultant with Business Financial Group (BFG). While with BFG, she served on the Financial Consulting Committee, helping to evaluate products and services offered by the firm and was a member of the Be Fit & Sponsorship Committee which coordinates wellness initiatives and manages community service and corporate sponsorship.
Beginning her career in financial services in 2009 as a marketing coordinator, Aïssatou pursued the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ designation. Having achieved that milestone, she transitioned into a paraplanner role in BFG’s Individual Financial Planning department. Prior to BFG, she was a former partner in MediaWrite of San Antonio which provides ghostwriting and editing assistance. She also spent nearly 15 years as a reporter focusing on financial news.
Aïssatou earned a BA in mass communications with a print specialty from Xavier University of Louisiana. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in International Affairs (comparative and regional studies) from The American University International Affairs School in Washington, DC, as well as an advanced degree in French language and civilization from Universite de Paris, La Sorbonne I.
Aïssatou holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification which is awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., as well as FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations with Commonwealth Financial Network®, Member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Advisor. She is life and health insurance licensed and is a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®).
With a lifelong passion for educating others about financial wellness, Aïssatou serves as a volunteer with several organizations. These include the San Antonio Ethnic Art Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, the San Antonio Association of Black Journalists, the San Antonio Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, Texas Public Radio, and Abiding Presence Lutheran Church.
