“I believe that every person’s end-goal should be financial independence, and I want to facilitate guiding you into realizing the comfort that financial security can bring. I work to see you reach a point when you have sufficient wealth to live on and no longer need income through employment.”
Phil Klein was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School. From there, he went on to play baseball for Youngstown State University where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Although he remains a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan, he also enjoys watching all college and pro teams.
After graduating from Youngstown, Phil was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2011 MLB draft in the 30th round. He worked his way through the minor league system and made it to the big leagues in 2014. In addition to playing for the Texas Rangers, he also spent time in 2016 playing for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2017, Phil went overseas to play a year of baseball in Yokohama, Japan where he and his wife immersed themselves in the rich culture.
Phil and his wife Linlee were married in November 2016 and currently live in Prosper, TX with their golden retriever Bear. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing and watching any sporting event he can find.
Phil holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations with Commonwealth Financial Network® and is currently studying for CFP exam. Having shared the experience of having a financial situation that is unique, his deep understanding of this motivates him to want to help current and former professional athletes and others with unique situations manage their financial planning needs.
