Mike Wendlandt was born and raised in the Midwest and graduated high school from Woodstock, Illinois. He attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a minor in Economics. He was a three-year letterman for the Panther golf team, a resident assistant for six semesters and was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. He also attended graduate school at the University of North Dakota.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mike brings a high level of planning expertise to the firm and was named Montana’s first recipient of the Financial Consumer Advocate Award in 2002*. Mike owned and operated APEX Advisory Services, Inc., a registered investment advisory firm from 1996 to 2018 when he joined forces with Global Wealth Advisors.
Mike has been very active in many conservation organizations, has served on the National Advisory Board at his previous broker-dealer and has recently been ordained as a Chaplin with Cowboys for Christ.
Together with his wife Brenda, they have four children, two Labrador Retrievers and a passion for the outdoors and adventurous opportunities it provides.
